Remembering the Legacy: Honoring the Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong

On March 6, 2024, Sino Esoteric Buddhism delegation was invited to visit the Temple at Wat Unnalom in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to offer condolences to the Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong, who peacefully passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of ninety-three.

The delegation extends its deepest condolences to the Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong, a highly respected Buddhist leader in the Kingdom of Cambodia, renowned for his virtues of wisdom, compassion, and universal love. He made remarkable contributions to fostering Sino-Cambodian Dharma friendship and the exchange of Buddhist cultures among nations.

The Vajra Master Jinke Xuanlei first met the Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong at the Third World Buddhist Forum in Hong Kong in 2012, forging a profound Dharma connection. Subsequently, upon multiple invitations from the Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong, they met again in November 2023 at Wat Unnalom to propagate the Dharma together, carry on the traditions of the Buddha, and contemplate the ultimate destination of life…

Despite coming from different countries and speaking different languages, we share a common faith. Our hearts resonate with the same aspirations for world peace, common concerns for human destiny, bringing us together. Each reunion seems to be orchestrated by the benevolent intentions of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, representing both a shared calling and a pure karmic connection.

The Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong was a great spiritual leader of Cambodia, a messenger of peace and universal love. May the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas guide him back to the Pure Land, may he return fulfilling his vows, continuing his Dharma works, showering the nectar of compassion, and may he continue to pray for the happiness and peace of humanity in the Pure Land. May all sentient beings benefit! We all cherish, appreciate, and learn from him!🙏🏻
