On this sacred day, we gather to commemorate the Renunciation Day of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva (Guanyin Pusa)—an occasion honoring the moment when the Bodhisattva renounced worldly life to fully dedicate themselves to the path of great compassion.

Avalokiteśvara embodies boundless mercy and the vow to respond to the cries of all sentient beings. In observance of this profound commitment, Jinyin Temple will host a morning of chanting, offering ceremonies, and Dharma reflection, inviting us to deepen our own practice of compassion and selfless service.

This is a time to reflect on our spiritual aspirations and to cultivate the qualities of patience, kindness, and unwavering care for all beings.
