Interfaith Prayer Gathering

February 1st marks Lunar New Year 2022, the year of the Tiger. We wish you all a happy spring festival and a good year ahead! We pray for this year of the tiger to bring peace, health and stability worldwide.

Cultivating a compassionate heart is critical during difficult times. We invite you to join us online on February 12 (2pm-3:30pm EDT) for an Interfaith Prayer Gathering. Together we will develop, deepen and nourish our connections in the heart-space of a community where we support, pray and chant for each other, and perhaps make new friends.

Our time together will include periods of offering meditation, individual prayers sharing, guided meditation, and open discussion. We look forward to being with you. Please bring:

1. One or more offerings of love, peace, and grace to share with the group in the form of a poem, prayer, chant, song, invocation, meditation from your own creation or any of the world’s sacred traditions and in any language
2. Your joys and sorrows for us to warm, soften, and lighten our hearts together, and to form a force for love and courage

愿以此功德，普及于一切。

May the merit of this practice spread everywhere to all.

我等与众生，皆共成佛道。

May I and sentient beings all attain Buddhahood.

十方三世一切佛，一切菩萨摩诃萨，

To all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the Ten Directions and Three Times,

摩诃般若波罗蜜，能断一切波罗蜜!

and maha-prajnaparamita, The perfection that cuts through all illusions!
