About the Event

As we know, the Buddhist teachings begin with the Four noble truths, which teaches that the goal of self cultivation is enlightenment, the ultimate freedom.

The practice of the path begins with a clear view of our existence and of the world, so that we can progressively practice with a calm mind that’s not constantly reacting to the constantly changing phenomena around us. If we have the right view, we can awaken from confusion, which is to realize our own openness to seek even though we may still feel confusion and pain from feeling lost and entangled in different matters in our lives.

It is in this openness we are able to see reality more clearly and realize that in seeking stability and security, we actually cannot grasp onto anything.

In this month’s Thursday meditations, we meditate on emptiness to realize and view the emptiness of the nature of all phenomena. Such realization brings us abundance, helps us connect with ourselves, our divine consciousness, and the energies of the universe, which always provides unlimited opportunities and possibilities.
